After registration
Once a domain is registered, manage it from your account. Keep the account email accessible because renewal notices, security notices, and support updates rely on it.
DNS and nameservers
Use DNS records to route website traffic, email, and verification services. If you use Cloudflare or another DNS provider, update nameservers first and then recreate the required A, CNAME, MX, and TXT records.
Privacy and security
Enable WHOIS privacy where supported, use a strong account password, and keep domain ownership records, order numbers, and payment TxIDs.
Renewal and transfer
Renew important domains before expiry. If you plan to transfer a domain, confirm the lock status, registrant email, and Auth Code requirements early.
